Zachary J. Montgomery, JD, CPA, CFE
Zachary J. Montgomery founded Montgomery Legal on a simple conviction: clients are better served when their legal strategy and their financial reality are handled by one person who understands both. As a licensed attorney, Certified Public Accountant, and Certified Fraud Examiner, he brings together disciplines that are usually scattered across separate firms.
His practice includes business formation and planning, estate planning, tax services, and forensic investigations. This combination allows clients to discuss related legal and financial questions within one practice.
Zachary also serves as an adjunct professor teaching estate planning at the University of North Texas, where he helps prepare the next generation of advisors, a role that keeps his own practice sharp and current.
His practice is grounded in Christian faith and the values that come with it: honesty, diligence, and genuine care for the people he serves. Clients describe the experience as clear, calm, and straightforward.
A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Virginia Tax Review, Zachary also earned a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University, both summa cum laude. Before founding Montgomery Legal, he built his experience at firms including PwC, Deloitte, and Ernst & Young, and served as the chief financial officer of a wealth management firm.
